Microsoft introduces new family of portable chargers

Microsoft introduced a family of three new Portable Dual Chargers today which will be made available globally in select markets in the coming weeks.

The Portable Dual Chargers follow the simply naming conventions of other charges Microsoft sells, and will be called the DC-32, DC-33, and DC-34. The three chargers will have capacities of 5200mAh, 9000mAh, and 12000mAh respectively. To put that in perspective the Microsoft Lumia 640 comes with a 2500 mAh battery so even the smallest of the trio is expected to be able to provide more than a single charge on the go.

Some of the noteworthy features of these chargers are:

  • Two USB ports
  • Can hold their charge for months at a time and will have up to 80% capacity after several months
  • LED indicators display power levels
  • Can “daisy-chain” the chargers to simultaneously charge the charger and any device connected to the charger
  • Charges your device as fast as Microsoft’s AC-60 wall charger

 The DC-32, DC-33, and DC-34 will be priced $35, $45, and $55 respectively.
