With every year, the Imagine Cup grows bigger and its entrants more impressive, and 2015 is no exception. On Thursday, the winners in each separate category were announced, paving the way for the World Championship, held today and judged by a group of fine minds, including Alex Kipman and Thomas Middleditch.

As shown on an official blog by Microsoft, each team represents something very different. IzHard, from Russia and representing the Games category, with their entry ‘Ovivo’, a fiendishly clever puzzle game, are the first. eFitFashion from Brazil, with their ‘Clothes for Me’, an online service for bespoke clothing, represent the Innovation category. Finally, for the World Citizenship category, the Virtual Dementia Experience team, all from Australia, are hoping that their interactive experience will help them seize the day.

Started in 2003, the Imagine Cup is now enormous in size, representing some of the best and brightest from around the world as they compete for a cash prize and a unique boot-camp experience. You can watch a webcast of the 2015 World Championship Finals on the Imagine Cup website, beginning at noon, PDT.

Who do you think should win the Cup? Let us know in the comments below.
