Microsoft highlights the Start button and more in new Windows 8.1 advertisement (video)

Microsoft has uploaded a new video to its Windows YouTube channel, offering us a thirty second TV commercial that showcases the power of Windows 8.1. Microsoft is touting “one experience for everything in your life” with the new Windows 8.1 update.

“Windows 8 customers can update to Windows 8.1 for free in the Windows Store, starting October 18th, 2013. With the return of the Start button, new ways to personalize your Start screen, and more ways to do more things at once, the new Windows gives you one experience for everything in your life,” the video description reads. 

The video highlights the return of the Start button in Windows 8.1, along with the ability to customize your Start screen with different tile sizes. The ability to seamlessly switch between apps as well as place more than two apps in Snap mode is also highlighted.
