Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update IX focuses on Italy and Malta

The next free update to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, is out. World Update IX focuses on Italy and Malta, adding various details to the regions.

According to the Microsoft Flight Simulator team, this update adds digital elevation modeling, aerial and satellite imagery, and triangulated irregular network (TIN) modeling of 20 cities. Some of those cities include Rome, Naples, Venice, and Milan. You’ll also see added details at Palermo Airport, Sondrio Airport, Marina di Campo Airport, and Bolanzo Airport. Not to forget the 94 points of interest in Italy, three bush trips, added discovery flights, and landing challenges.

In addition to today’s update, the Flight Simulator team is also cutting prices on marketplace content from Italy and Malta. You can save up to 45% on team like the C-22J Ventura (Mario Noriega Designs,) Fiat-Aeritalia G-91 (Sim Skunk Works,) and LICB Comiso Airport (Beautiful Model of the World).
