The Microsoft Flight Simulator franchise is making a big comeback this year with a new game developed by Asobo Studios. While this new Flight Simulator game has still no released date, the team shared yesterday all the details about the required specs for running the game on Windows 10.

The minimum requirements include an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 1200 CPU, and Nvidia GTX 770 or AMD Radeon RX 570 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 150GB of storage. As the game will leverage Azure to recreate a live version of the earth with real-time weather, a good Internet connection (minimum 5Mbps) is also required.

To have the best gameplay experience, Asobo Studios recommends an Intel Core i7-9800X our AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X CPU, and Nvidia RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon VII GPU, 32GB of RAM, and a high-speed Internet connection (50Mbps).

Asobo Studios will use its own engine for this new Flight Simulator game, and the small developer is actually punching well above its weight. A Plague: Tale Innocence, its previous game which also used an in-house engine received praise for its detailed photorealistic graphics, and Microsoft Flight Simulator is expected to be a real feast for the eyes.

In case you missed it, we remind you that the game has a closed beta which you may be able to join by signing up for the game’s Insider program. The team also shares frequent development updates on the game’s official website, as well as in-depth Feature Discovery videos on YouTube.
