Microsoft Store

According to a local newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida, Microsoft has filed a permit and building-plans with the city to open up a new Microsoft Store at the St Johns Town Center. This would make the third Microsoft Store in Florida, in addition to three specialty stores for the state.

Microsoft is looking to add yet another Microsoft Store to its arsenal with a new store at the St. Johns Town Center. Microsoft is looking to build the store on the 4,975 square foot location with a cost of $400,000 to finish the project. Interestingly enough, this store would be close by to the local Apple Store.

The state of Florida already has a Microsoft Store at the Florida Mall in Orlando and one coming soon to Dadeland Mall in Miami, in addition to specialty stores at the Aventura Mall in Miami Beach, and International Plaza and Bay Street in Tampa.

Microsoft won’t just be opening up a new store, but will also be donating some money too! “To celebrate each new Microsoft retail store opening, Microsoft donates more than $1 million in software grants to selected location organizations that will help create opportunities for local youth through technology, training and experiences that empower them to realize their full potential,” the report states.

If you live in the area, keep an eye out! Hopefully the city approves the permit and building plans so construction can begin right away.
