Microsoft expands Bing Ads platform with Shared Budgets

Microsoft has added a new way to make advertising for your business much more efficient in Bing Ads. According to the Bing blog post released today, the latest update has a Shared Budgets tool that will let users allocate funds across multiple ad campaigns. Put simply, if one ad campaign isn’t utilizing all of its assigned payment, then the Shared Budgets will make sure that the rest of that money is going towards another campaign that is working harder and providing a better outcome.

Benefits

  • Have a single budget that can be used by all campaigns under or by a subgroup of campaigns under an account.
  • Reduce time spent manually calculating how to allocate budget individually amongst a significant number of campaigns.
  • Optimize your unutilized budget by having Bing Ads automatically allocate remaining budget to campaigns that are performing well.

The tool is already available through all Bing Ads applications even though you can only read it through the mobile app. It isn’t supported yet by Import or Google Sync, but they’ll undoubtedly catch up soon enough. Microsoft is also looking to provide an update in early 2017 to Bing Ads with a better implementation for Shared Budgets concerning duplicate campaigns from AdWords, and so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for it.
