Microsoft has released a new build to the Edge Dev channel. Coming in at 99.0.1141.0, this build is quite small, but it does have some changes and an added feature to take note of. Here’s what you need to know about the last scheduled version 99 release from the Dev channel.

First off, added features. There’s only one new one this week. Microsoft just added a management policy to control if the Sign In Cta (call to action) On the Ntp (new tab page) is Enabled. You can see below for the other reliability fixes and changed behaviors.

  • Fixed a crash on launch on Mac.
  • Fixed a crash when choosing where to save a file that’s being downloaded.
  • Fixed a crash when closing the browser.
  • Fixed a crash when autofilling a form.
  • Fixed a crash when editing saved autofill data.
  • Fixed a crash when importing data from another browser.
  • Fixed an issue where Find on Page sometimes doesn’t highlight some of the matches it finds when stepping through them one at a time.
  • Fixed an issue where Find on Page may not be accurate if there’s invisible content on the page.
  • Fixed an issue where menus sometimes unexpectedly scroll when they don’t need to.
  • Fixed an issue where Efficiency Mode sometimes can’t be turned off.

As far as mobile goes, there are a few fixes for crashes. We included these separately for those of you who might be using Edge Dev on Android or iOS.

  • Fixed a crash when typing in the address bar.
  • Fixed a crash when editing Favorites.
  • Fixed a crash when using Read Aloud.
  • Fixed a crash when using Citrix.

Again, Microsoft says this is the last scheduled Dev release for Edge version 99. There could be a couple more patches but don’t expect anything major. If you want new features, head over and try the Canary channel instead. Happy downloading, Edge Insiders!
