The Microsoft Edge beta app on Android has received a new update which adds a new feature and makes some changes to improve the app (via Windows Latest). The latest update brings the beta to version 42.0.0.2053.

Here is the changelog:

  • Intelligent visual search
  • Added support for synchronization status indicator
  • Bookmark improvements, you can now view the bookmarks managed by the organization

The intelligent visual search feature allows information to be found by using just a photo. For example, it can find contact information, landmarks, and more. It is only available in the United States at this time, but is likely to roll out to other regions in the future.

To get the latest beta update, you’ll have to have downloaded Microsoft Edge from the Google Play Store and then enrol into the beta program.
