Microsoft does another servicing pipeline test with Dev Channel Insiders

Microsoft is continuing to test its servicing pipeline today with a new flight for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The build 21390.2025 (KB5004123) is now available in Windows Update for Dev Channel Insiders, and just like the two previous cumulative updates for the build 21390, it includes no changes or bug fixes.

The Windows Insider team previously detailed the reasoning behind these regular servicing pipeline tests, explaining the “need to test the process of releasing multiple Cumulative Updates on top of each other on top of the same build.” If the team promised that flighting will go back to normal “soon,” they also emphasized that “having Insiders in the Dev Channel test this will be immensely helpful.”

If what’s currently happening on the Windows Insider Dev Channel is currently far from being exciting, things could change soon next week with Microsoft’s big Windows event on June 24. The company is expected to reveal a redesigned version of its desktop OS that could be named “Windows 11,” and Windows Insiders will likely get to test it before everyone else.
