Microsoft to document all security updates for Microsoft apps in the Windows Store

In an official blog post, Microsoft has revealed that the company will be documenting all security updates that become available for all Microsoft apps available for Windows 8 and Windows RT in the Windows Store, in an attempt to be transparent.

“To ensure transparency, we will document all security updates for Microsoft apps in the Windows Store in a security advisory, which we will revise with each new security update release. The security update process itself will be identical to that of any other Windows Store app update—customers will simply click on the store tile and select the update,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. This applies to apps like the Mail app, which comes pre-installed on Windows 8 but uses Windows Store for updates. Microsoft will document what fixes are made to ensure app developers from “introducing new issues.” A great move on Microsoft’s part!
