Microsoft details February 2013 Patch Tuesday updates for Internet Explorer 10

During February’s Patch Tuesday (taking place today), Microsoft released two critically rated security bulletins for Internet Explorer 10 as well as one security advisory for the internet browser.

One of the critical updates for Internet Explorer addresses thirteen privately reported vulnerabilities in IE10, as well as other editions of Internet Explorer, revolving around remote code execution when a user views a malicious website . This update is rated Critical for Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, and Internet Explorer 10 on Windows clients and Moderate for Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, and Internet Explorer 10 on Windows servers.

Another update is rated critical and deals will privately reported vulnerability in the Microsoft implementation of Vector Markup Language (VML), which could also allow remote code execution if a user views a malicious website. This security update is rated Critical for Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9, and Internet Explorer 10 on all supported releases of Microsoft Windows.

There is also a security advisory revolving around the availability of a Adobe Flash Player update for IE10 for Windows 8, Windows RT, and Windows Server 2012. This update fixes vulnerabilities in Flash Player.

For those who have Automatic Updates enabled, you don’t need to worry about installing these updates, However, those who do not have Automatic Updates enabled, head over to Windows Update to patch your system now!
