Microsoft creates pizza-scented Xbox controller ahead of TMNT movie premiere

Microsoft has created a pizza-scented Xbox controller to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.

According to the announcement post on Xbox Wire, Xbox will be giving away  “a limited number of exclusive ooze green, pizza-scented Xbox Wireless Controllers that pair perfectly with game content that immerses fans in the Turtles’ latest adventures.”

Apparently this is the world’s first-ever pizza-scented video game controller. And while it may seem like a very…creative marketing gesture, one is inclined to believe the claim. To enter for a chance to win one of these you’ll need to follow the official Xbox Game Pass Twitter account and retweet the sweepstakes tweet.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is the latest film in the TMNT universe. As per the film’s official synopsis,

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their new friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem premieres in movie theaters around the world throughout August 2023.
