Microsoft Confirms Windows event for April 5

Microsoft has confirmed a Windows event for April 5. The event will feature Windows chief Panos Panay, and is focused on how “Windows Powers the Future of Hybrid Work.”

A webpage for the event is already up and the stream is set to kick off at 8:00 AM P.T on April 5. According to Mary Jo Foley at ZDNet, the event is mainly aimed at commercial customers. That’s hinted at in the footnote on the event webpage. It mentions “find out how Windows propels the business of our customers forward from the client to the cloud.”

What can you expect then? Well, for consumers, there might be some “so-far undisclosed features coming to Windows 11,” per Mary Jo Foley. Also in the works for the event could be some updates for Microsoft 365 services. This includes news around the One Outlook client, or more news about Microsoft Defender. Given some recent Microsoft hires from companies in the consumer space, Teams for consumer might also make the event, too, as well as Windows 365 Cloud PC.

Microsoft’s webpage for the event mentioned that there will be three break-out sessions to demon Windows tools for productivity, collaboration, management, and security. OnMSFT will be watching live, and we’ll be here to cover. So, be sure to follow us on Twitter, so you don’t miss a minute of the news.
