Whenever a new device comes out, there is always a minority group that have trouble with their new product. Yesterday was the official release of the Xbox One, and some excited Xbox One owners have been reporting that their consoles are behaving in an irregular way.

New Xbox One users have been experiencing issues with the Blu-ray drive. According to these users, the drives emit grinding, crunching and clicking sounds, which therefore lead to non-playable discs. Microsoft has apparently replied to Polygon, addressing the issue and also telling them how to proceed with a faulty console.

Microsoft has provided a statement to Polygon. They’ve stated:

“We know that with a hardware launch of this magnitude customers will have questions and we have many avenues for customers to get the answers they need and get back in the game as soon as possible. Rest assured we plan to take care of our customers.”

“Any customer who believes they are experiencing an issue with their Xbox One should reach out to us. There are many avenues available for customers to get in touch with us including: Talking to a live customer support person that can call you back if you don’t want to wait, visiting Xbox.com for support pages and forums, on Twitter with @XboxSupport, or by saying ‘Xbox Help’”

While there is no other fix or immediate solution to these hardware problems, it’s advised to contact Microsoft through any way stated above.

Have you received a faulty Xbox One console? If you did, how are you planning on contacting Microsoft? Or better yet, did you? Comment below and share your experience, and if you have any tips, be sure to mention to those who have the same problem as you so everyone can benefit.
