Microsoft announces Forza Horizon 2, arrives later this fall for Xbox One and Xbox 360

Microsoft has revealed today that the open-world racing sequel, Forza Horizon 2, is headed to Xbox One and Xbox 360 this fall. This game follows the 2012 critically acclaimed franchise spin-off known as Forza Horizon, made available for Xbox 360. The Xbox One was treated to Forza Motorsport 5 in 2013.

Forza Horizon 2 is set in beautiful Southern Europe, offering the player with “amazing vistas” and “incredible diversity.” The game will feature a music festival, in which the game’s activities are centered around. The game reportedly features extensive improvements and features. IGN plans on showcasing the game’s beauty over the coming weeks.

Development of the game is being handled by Playground Games, and team collaboration is taking place with Turn 10 Studios. “[Turn 10 and Playground] share this belief that we can create a true home for racing fans on Xbox One,” said Horizon 2 creative director Ralph Fulton.
