Microsoft has launched a new promotional video for its Surface Book innovative notebook (via Windows Central). The ad features Mexican animator Jorge Gutiérrez and his partner Sandra Equihua, who both created the animated film The Book of Life in 2014. In the following video, they explain how the Surface Book and the Surface Pen allow them to express their creativity and bring their ideas to life. Gutiérrez explained:

It’s like this superpowerful computer and a tablet had a perfect baby. It’s a typewriter for writing scripts, it’s a sketchbook for sketches, it’s a canvas for painting. You can’t do that on a Mac”.

Microsoft also uploaded a Spanish version of the 30-second ad on the Surface YouTube channel, and it seems to be the first Surface ad in a non-english language:

Additionally, it seems that the Mac reference is starting to become a trend in these Surface promotional videos. A week ago, Microsoft released a similar ad for the Surface Pro 4 featuring professional climber and mountain guide Melissa Arnot who explained that the versatile hybrid tablet allowed her to do things that she couldn’t do on a Mac. However, we’re still far from Apple’s popular “Get a Mac” campaign that ran from 2006 to 2009. Let us know in the comments what do you think of this latest Surface promotional video.
