Microsoft adds Bing's prediction feature to Cortana

Cortana is Microsoft’s answer to Siri and Google Now. In an interview with Engadget, Microsoft’s Cortana team promised to add future update the smartphone assistant on a twice-per-month cycle and looks like they’re sticking to that statement.

Marcus Ash, Group Program Manager for Cortana on Windows Phone, has revealed on Twitter that they’ve pushed out a new update for Cortana and it now has the ability to access predictions using Bing’s search service.

In a blog post on June 11th, Microsoft said, “On the heels of our recent foray into predictions, where we forecasted which contestants were most likely to get voted off or win The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, and American Idol, we are taking the experiment a step further applying it to the World Cup.  Starting today, if you search for “World Cup Predictions”, or any group matches (both preliminary as well as later in the single elimination rounds) we will display the chances of each respective team to win.”

Marcus mentioned that this update is live now for anyone who has a Windows Phone 8.1 device.
