Earlier this month, Microsoft faced a significant distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, resulting in widespread disruptions across its Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive. Now two weeks later, Microsoft 365 services have experienced another disruption.

According to the official Microsoft 365 status Twitter account, the impact of the issue was limited to users in Western Europe. It appears that the root cause of the disruption stemmed from a data center located in Germany, which was not performing optimally.

In response, Microsoft took prompt action by implementing necessary mitigations to alleviate the strain on the affected data center. The problem was swiftly resolved within a few hours. Users could track the incident details under the reference ID MO597504 in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

The recent disruptions serve as a reminder of the ever-evolving nature of cyber threats and the importance of continuous efforts to enhance security measures.
