MetroMail app for Windows Phone gets a big update to 3.0

MetroMail is a fantastic email app for Windows Phone, which has just gotten even better with the latest update to version 3.0. This app comes packed with features and wants to be the only email client you use on your Windows Phone device.

“MetroMail is the first third-party email client for Windows Phone. It improves user experience by significantly expanding the functionality offered by the native email client. It also brings a first-class experience for Gmail users, which includes all major Gmail-specific functionality, and instant notifications,” the app description reads.

In the latest update, which was rolled out today, MetroMail features full Action Center support in Windows Phone 8.1. Emails are now downloaded in the background for new notifications and Action Center entries now launch their respective email. You can now attach any file from OneDrive or local storage using the file picker. You can share items to MetroMail and the app also supports iCloud Mail. You can re-download attachments and assign Sent and Deleted items actions and specific folders. The update also fixes a few bugs.

The free version of the app allows unlimited ad-supported access for only one email account. The app supports IMAP, Gmail, and Outlook email accounts. Head over to the download link below to snag the updated app. It’s free.
