Xbox Game Pass has a lot in store for gamers this May, with same day releases, DLC, game updates, new perks, and a number of games leaving the subscription as well.
First up and already available is NBA 2K22, where you can play NBA and WNBA games, build your own teams, play GM, or build your own NBA career. It’s available on Game Pass now. Also available today on Cloud, Console and PC is Loot River, an ID@Xbox game, a dungeon crawling action game.
Coming Soon
Two more ID@Xbox games are coming to Game Pass, both on May 5th. Trek to Yomi follows the story of Hiroki and his fall against forces of evil, and Citizen Sleeper, inspired by tabletop RPGs, puts you on a “lawless station at the edge of an interstellar society.
On May 10th, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition and Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, a day one release, make their way to Game Pass, both for Cloud, Console, and PC. This War of Mine: Final Cut, another ID@Xbox game remastered for Xbox Series X|S also becomes available on Game Pass on May 10th.
EA Play
On May 12th, NHL 22 comes to Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play.
DLC and Game Updates
A number of games are getting DLC and game updates this month, including Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Dynasties of India DLC, where Game Pass members can save up to 10%, Halo Infinite Lone Wolves: Season 2, and Stellaris 3.0 Update & Nemesis Expansion:
The Stellaris 3.0 ‘Dick’ Update, named after the renowned Sci-Fi author Philip K. Dick, adds a new Intel system, reworks how First Contact occurs, and includes several new economic changes. Plus, Game Pass members can save up to 10% on the Nemesis Expansion, giving players the choice between chaos or control in a galaxy spiraling into crisis.
All three are available on Game Pass today.
Game Pass Ultimate Perks
You can unlock the Warmonger Hero in For Honor, get the Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2: No-Brainerz Upgrade, and get the Halo Infinite: Pass Tense Gungoose Bundle (available May 4th), all available with Game Pass Ultimate.
