Lumia Cyan

Yesterday, Microsoft announced the Lumia Cyan update would roll out for all existing handsets running on Windows Phone 8. The good news is, the update is already available for a number of handsets across the globe — Lumia 625 and Lumia 925. Some reports also suggest that it’s rolling out for the Lumia 520 in some regions.

The update is also set as “available” on the Nokia Software update page in almost all regions including Asia-Pacific, Europe, and Middle East for both devices. There’s no word about the update for any of the handsets for North America, but it could take a little while for it to roll out in the region. The update must go through carrier certification and testing before it can be pushed to devices. Users rocking the unlocked versions of the device could get it a little sooner.

Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan both come packed with a plethora of new features, including Cortana, Action Center, improved Internet Explorer, enhanced Nokia Camera app, as well as updates for other Nokia apps. If you’re rocking any of those devices, sound off in the comments below if you received the update, along with your region.
