Microsoft really wants you to be “productive like a boss” with the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, and one important component of that objective is to use Office Mobile and Continuum. Of course, editing documents via Continuum on a Lumia 950 or 950 XL requires a paid Office 365 subscription, which not every Lumia owners enjoys. Microsoft wants to change that, by offering a 1-year subscription to Office 365 Personal for many Lumia 950 and 950 XL owners.

Available in select markets (U.S., UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden), the offer has some terms and conditions you’ll want to check out. If you qualify, though, you’ll be able to go into the Microsoft Offers app and snag your subscription, which is worth a cool $69.99).

Office 365 Personal licenses one PC or Mac, a smartphone, and tablet to enjoy the following software and benefits:

  • Fully installed Office applications, and editing functionality, with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Publisher (as applicable)
  • 1TB OneDrive storage
  • 60 monthly Skype minutes
  • Microsoft support at no charge

Not only will you be able to edit your documents on your Lumia 950 and 950 XL via Continuum, but you can install the full version of Office 2016 on your PC and Mac. Things will stay updated and if you’re an iOS and/or Android user, you’ll be able to get your work done on those devices as well.

The process is easy enough, and Microsoft provides some quick instructions:

Here’s how it works – Open the Lumia Offers app on your qualifying Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL or download it from the Windows Store. Choose ‘1-year Office 365’ from the ‘available offers’ list. Enter your email and tap ‘continue’ for instructions to claim your subscription. From there, enjoy access to your favorite Office apps and 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage, valid for one year.

So there you have it, easy as pie. If you’re a lucky Lumia 950 or 950 XL owner, then get that Lumia Offers app running and select the offer.
