[Update: Its Lumia 830 too] Lumia 930 gets a new gold color option in China, costs around $460

Update: It turns out its not just the Lumia 930, Microsoft also has a Lumia 830 up for grabs in a gold paint job as well. Furthermore, the new color options are not only limited to China.

Lumia 830 Gold is expected to hit the retail shelves by February in black and white in Europe, Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East and Africa.

As for the Lumia 930, it’s also expected to launch in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, alongside China, by the end of this month. The price will vary depending on the region and carrier. We’ll update you about its pricing as soon as we hear about it for different regions.

It appears the leaked promotional material for a gold color Lumia, spotted a few days back was indeed correct as Microsoft Mobile has officially taken the wraps off a limited edition Lumia 930 with a gold paint job. The handset is available for sale in China, but is extremely limited in quantities — there are only 3,000 units which are up for grabs.

The gold color Lumia 930 comes with a 2,899 yuan (around $460 US) price tag, which is lower than the usual retail price of the handset. Also included in the bundle is a Car Charger DC-20 and the Nokia DT900 wireless charging pad.

The internals remain the same, there’s a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there’s no microSD card slot so you have to live with the available storage space.

Other notable features include a 20MP PureView camera with optical image stabilization, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 2,420 mAh battery and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system.

If you’re interested, you may have to act fast as the quantities are limited.
