Lumia 435

The Lumia 435 is the latest low end Windows Phone made by Microsoft and is now available on Microsoft.com in the United States for only $70 with no contract required. The listing specifies that it is a T-Mobile version and that it, at least for the moment, only comes in white.

There’s quite a crowd among low end devices but Microsoft builds and they can be difficult to sort out. For a more comprehensive breakdown of the latest Lumia phones you can go here. Simply put, the Lumia is a smartphone that costs only $70 so there are some tradeoffs but all in all it appears to be a solid phone.

It has a 4 inch WVGA screen, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD. It sports a 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and a 2.0 MP main camera. The front facing camera is the lowest among all Lumias at 0.3 MP. Here’s our initial thoughts on the Lumia 435.

Lower end smartphones are a specific market but at only $70 it’s easy to see this as an entry level smartphone for those new to the market or willing to spend a little money to test out Windows Phone as an operating system.

We’ll have a full review of the Lumia 435 soon so stay tuned.
