We’ve previously reported that Microsoft made it possible to set a background image during Teams meetings. However, for now, the feature only lets you choose from a library of pre-selected images Microsoft Teams. While Microsoft has not officially announced the custom backgrounds support in Microsoft Teams as of yet, you can use these handy tricks to set your own custom Teams backgrounds on Windows 10 as well as on a Mac.

If you are looking for a way to hide a mess when on a web conference and using Teams, we have got you covered. Michael Gillett, Windows Insider MVP (and the creator of Wallpaper Hub) teased a collection of video chat backgrounds and we couldn’t resist sharing the cool collection with you all:

There’s now a new way to find all the Chat Backgrounds on WallpaperHub!

I will be tagging a number of existing wallpapers with this new tag and uploading more backgrounds in the coming days 🙂

(Tes, the colour is @MicrosoftTeams on purpose 😉)

For those of you looking for more options to set your own image, make sure to check out this 3rd party Microsoft Teams backgrounds collection (mostly sourced from Unsplash), with more than 200 hand-picked images. This will allow you to customize your next meeting without being restricted by Microsoft’s offerings. With these custom backgrounds, you can either be at a virtual office, mountains, or even a galaxy which would be far away from this coronavirus infected land.

So, the next time you join a meeting, don’t forget to use some cool custom backgrounds to spice up your Teams calls. Also, drop us a screenshot in the comments below with your personal favourite option and feel free to check out the rest of our Teams coverage over at our dedicated news hub.
