Another year, another upgrade cycle for Lenovo’s flagship ThinkPad line.

In 2020, customers can expect to see the usual staples onboard devices such as the T14, L13 Yoga and X13 like generational Intel processor bumps and tweaks to Dolby Audio and Vision software.

However, there are a couple of new feature additions worth noting when configuring a new system that includes an optional on-cell touch display for the L-series as well as AMD Rysen PRO 4000 Mobile processor options available for ThinkPad T14s, T14, X13, L14, and L15 devices.

ThinkPad T14, T14s and T15: The most successful ThinkPad series, the T series is the mainstay of the ThinkPad lineup.

  • All models are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors and offer Wi-Fi 6.
  • There’s a number of brighter display panels offered as well as a built-in Privacy Guard version.
  • ThinkPad 14 & 15 move up to Nvidia Geforce MX330 graphics options

ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga: Designed to echo the features of the T series in a smaller more portable package.

  • All models are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors and offer Wi-Fi 6.
  • There’s a number of brighter display panels offered as well as a built-in Privacy Guard version.

ThinkPad L14, L15, L13, and L13 Yoga: Users who seek the attributes of ThinkPad and need value-driven price points

  • All models are powered by 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors and offer Wi-Fi 6.
  • Redesigned to be thinner and lighter across the board and the 14” available with Aluminum top cover
  • Upgrades to Dolby Audio with brighter optional on-cell touch displays.

Other intangible benefits coming to this year’s line up also include an evolved Modern Standby infrastructure to help provide “smartphone-like always-on” connectivity, unified communications function keys presumably to leverage Microsoft’s Your Phone call features as well as enhanced audio experiences, particularly in the L-Series line up.

Lenovo’s 2020 ThinkPad line should be available for pre-orders starting the second quarter of this year with some starting at prices as low as $649.00.
