Lazarbeam’s the latest streamer to get his own Fortnite skin and it’s the most Australian thing ever

After a couple of days of teasing, Lazarbeam’s Fortnite Icon Series items were finally revealed this morning and they’re definitely some of the more unique streamer-related content to be added to the popular Fortnite video game.

Unlike most of the other Icon Series skins and accessories, which have been more fantasy or Sci-Fi-based, Lazarbeam’s collection draws inspiration from his time as a tradie (Australian slang for tradesperson), the job he had before he made it big as a YouTuber. And the look is pretty spot on.

From the boots and socks to the shorts, shirt, and sunnies, the entire design is incredibly accurate and will likely bring a smile to most Aussie players who aren’t used to seeing something so quintessentially Australian running around the Fortnite battle royale island. The Lunch Break emote, which makes the player sit down and eat a meat pie, is icing on the cake.

Rather than do something over the top with my skin i wanted to honour my beginnings.

Also I think its really fucking funny to have a tradie in Fortnite.

Hope you enjoy it 🙂 pic.twitter.com/8zLx2GObAY

An exact release date hasn’t been set for the Lazarbeam content though players will be able to score it early by competing in a tournament called Lazar & Fresh’s Super Knockback which begins tomorrow. Details on that here.

Lazarbeam is the fifth streamer and the third Australian to get their own Icon Series collection of in-game content inspired by their own personal brand. Previous streamers include Grefg, Loserfruit, Lachlan, and Ninja.
