Microsoft has started rolling out an update for the Windows Web Experience Pack that powers Windows widgets and will now enable widgets notifications on the taskbar. Widgets are small cards that show dynamic content from users’ favorite apps and services on users’ Windows desktops, like the weather and news widgets.

The latest Windows Web Experience Pack update is aimed to provide more relevant and live content on the taskbar. Most widely known for the weather forecast, there are also other widgets like health, sports, finance, and breaking news. Microsoft also said that, Windows will get Windows 11 22H2 first major update for the operating system, expected will release in late September 2022.

As per the Neowin story,  the taskbar shows the weather news most of the time changing from time to time to other widgets. If a user doesn’t interact with the notifications that show on the taskbar, the taskbar will return to show the weather news.

The latest Windows Web Experience Pack update will start to roll out in a few weeks, says Microsoft. If you are a new user of Windows 11 and want to know more about Windows 11 and its widgets, then Microsoft’s official documentation will help you to know the information about Windows widgets, personalization options, and other features.
