The Surface Pro 8 is an incredible device, and, expensive as it is, you might want to protect it. Well, the folks at Kensington recently launched a new product that can help keep your device protected, but also improve its usability in one key way.

Now available is the BlackBelt Rugged Case with Integrated Mobile Dock for Surface Pro 8. This case combines a docking station with device protection, in a slim fit Designed in partnership with Microsoft, the case adds Two 10Gbps USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (one USB-A and one USB-C) to the Surface Pro 8. Oh, and for you folks that miss it, the case brings back a dedicated UHS-II SD 4.0 Micro SD card reader. There’s been an HDMI port on the right side of the case, too.

Naturally, there are other features that you’ve come to expect from a Kensington case. That includes a self-adjusting hand strap, a holder that supports both standard Surface Round and Classroom Pens, a TypeCover keyboard strap, and a kickstand opening.

If you’re worried about cooling, this case leaves access to the kickstand, as well as the ventilation fans. An option with a Smart card reader is available, and the case comes in at a hefty price of $200, but it might be worth the extra protection and headaches saved having not to deal with dongles.
