Japanese Xbox One video game, Raiden V, now available outside Japan

The action shooter, Raiden V, is finally out on Xbox One outside of Japan. The Japanese video game has been out in its homeland for a while and recently updated there to include an English language option, which lead many fans to (correctly) assume that a Western release was in the cards. Here’s the official description:

A quarter-century after the arcade hit Raiden first left its mark on the shooting genre, the series now comes to the Xbox One in its most modern and advanced form yet!

Using Xbox One cloud functionality to its fullest, now all players can easily access their data, allowing you and your comrades-in-arms to enter the fray side-by-side!
Raiden V features branching story paths and an interesting cheer system which works in a remarkably similar way to the Nike Running app on iOS where online friends can send support to friends that are playing.
The game itself is actually over 25 years old but has been fully remastered in HD for the Xbox One release. If you’re the type of person who enjoys laughing at awkward Japanese to English translations, make sure to check out the official Raiden V website which is full of classic gems like, “Now Raiden is available for X Box one after after 25years since the first release of the game!”, “Enjoy the fightingin the real world”, and my favorite, “New type of shooting game using on- line!”
