iPhone users get automatic SkyDrive photo uploads in latest update

Apple devices users who use Microsoft’s cloud storage, SkyDrive, just got a feature that was exclusively only on Windows Phone. With the new update, which some people may call significant, iPhone users will be able to automatically upload camera photos to SkyDrive.

This feature works just like on Windows Phone. Only, iPhone users will have to enable it manually, since it’s disabled once you install the app. iPhone users can also automatically upload videos to their SkyDrive, in actual recorded resolution.

If you have lots of photos and not a lot of space on your SkyDrive, you’ve got two options, either you buy more storage, or you degrade the quality of the images you take. Users will have the option to automatically resize photos instead of uploading them in full-resolution.

It’s interesting to see how Microsoft is featuring some Windows Phone-only features on other devices. According to The Verge, the company is “looking at” an identical implementation for Android, but right now it’s just Windows Phone and iOS.

If you have an Apple device, be sure to try this out, and while you’re at it, comment below your experience using the app.
