Internet Explorer market share

March 2013 has come to a close and its time to see how well Internet Explorer did against its competitors, Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox. Compared to the previous month, Internet Explorer has went up by 0.01% in market share!

As of February 2013, Internet Explorer had a 55.82% market share, while Chrome accounted for 16.27% and Firefox accounted for 20.12%. As of March 2013, Internet Explorer is now at 55.83% share while Chrome holds 16.45% share and Firefox grasps onto 20.21%. Apple’s Safari browser doesn’t cut it as part of the top three and holds a 5.31% market share.

Interestingly enough, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 a few weeks back. We expected the market share for Internet Explorer 10 to increase a little this time around but it seems that it made little impact. With a 0.01% increase in share for IE, that’s not a good thing!

Regardless, Internet Explorer is still the top browser. Google’s Chrome browser actually went up in market share by 0.18% while Firefox went up by 0.09% in market share.
