After months of rumors and leaks, HTC has finally decided to put an end to all the leaks, and unveiled the Windows Phone powered HTC One M8. As rumored, the device will come with a “HTC One M8 for Windows” moniker, and features a similar set of specifications as its Android counterpart. The surprising bit is that HTC One M8 for Windows will be exclusive to Verizon in the US, with no word about its availability in other global markets.
As a recap, the HTC One M8 rocks a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC and 2GB of RAM on board. There’s 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card support of up to 128GB. The Duo camera setup is also present with an UltraPixel camera on the back, as well as a 5MP front-facing camera, a 2,600 mAh battery to make sure there’s enough juice, and runs Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 as its operating system out of the box. The device also comes with HTC exclusive apps, and support for the Dot View case as well.
