Htc camera updated to include a new 360 degree panoramic capture mode

Most of what’s happening on a Windows Phone happens on a Lumia, but now and then, another Windows Phone OEM will do something worth discussing. In this case, that OEM would be HTC and its new update to the HTC Camera app.

The most notable new addition to HTC Camera v2.0 is the new ‘Pan 360’ panorama feature. This feature works in a similar way to Microsoft’s Photosynth app as it lets users capture images both vertically and horizontally in a single session to create one large panoramic image.

A changelog wasn’t included so we don’t exactly know what else has been changed or if there were any under-the-hood performance improvements made, although the camera on the HTC One M8 for Windows is already pretty fast.

If you have the One M8 for Windows, you can download this HTC-exclusive app over at the download link below.
