This month, the first Xbox Play Anywhere games have been released on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs: the first one was the futuristic action-adventure game Recore, which was followed by the critically-acclaimed Forza Horizon 3 this week. If you have yet to buy one of these games and if you want to learn how the Xbox Play Anywhere experience will work on your Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, the Xbox team has published today a new video explaining how to download a supported title on both platforms:
As you can see in the video, the program is pretty simple for gamers: once you purchase a digital copy of an Xbox Play Anywhere title from the Xbox Store, you will be able to download the game from the Windows 10 Store on your PC. Conversely, Xbox Play Anywhere titles that you buy from the Windows Store will appear in the « Ready to install » section on your console. Of course, you’ll need to be signed in with the same Microsoft account on both devices to make it all work.
As a reminder, Xbox Play Anywhere also allow gamers to start playing on one device and continue on the other with shared progress, achievements, and downloadable content. Ten other Xbox One Play Anywhere titles from Microsoft Studios are already in the pipeline and Gears of War 4 will be the next major game to be released next month on October 11.
