Windows 10

The recent launch of the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones has left many people in the middle of a tough decision. “Do I or do I not try the preview?” Of course, unless you’re at least a little bit knowledgeable in the world of technology you shouldn’t even be considering trying the preview, but if you are someone who understands the risks but is unsure how to install, we’ve got a tutorial on hand for you.

Installing the Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones is actually pretty simple. It simply requires downloading an app from the Windows Phone Store, signing in and selecting an insider ring. Then from there, check for updates and get downloading. The process can take between 10 minutes and 2 hours depending on your device and how your Windows Phone 8.1 install is, so don’t worry if it takes a long time for you.

We’ve created a quick video above demonstrating how to do this, so make sure you check that out before you get started. Stay tuned at WinBeta for more Windows 10 for phones coverage, as we’ll be highlighting many more of the previews new features as new builds are released.
