How to immediately close all running Metro apps in Windows 8

Windows 8 Settings

Looking for an easier way to close running apps in Windows 8, rather than having to select each app one by one? There is a feature in Windows 8 that lets you quickly close all running apps, with a click of a few buttons.

Here’s how to do it. Open up the Charms bar (Win Key + C) and select Settings. Then select Change PC Settings. Once the Settings app opens up, select the General tab. Under App Switching, hit the button that says “Delete history” and viola! all Metro apps that were running have now closed. Now it may be a pain in the butt to find the setting but it is still better than manually selecting each Metro app and closing them.
