How to download or upgrade to Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest operating system

Looking to download a fresh copy of Windows 8 or looking for a way to upgrade your current system to Windows 8? We got you covered! Here are a few methods to help you make the movie to Microsoft’s newest operating system, Windows 8.

Those upgrading from the Windows 8 Release Preview can keep their personal files only, and nothing else. Upgrading from Windows 7, you can keep Apps, Windows settings, and personal files. For more information on upgrading to Windows 8, head over to the source link for Microsoft’s FAQs. Here are the four ways to obtain Windows 8 (aside from buying a new Windows 8 PC):

  • Download the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant which will check to see if your computer can handle Windows 8. Basically, it will scan your hardware, apps, and connected devices to see if they will work with Windows 8. Once the scan is done, you will see a compatibility report. Then you will have the option to buy, download, and install Windows 8.
  • 39.99 download from now until January 31st 2013. If you are running Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, you can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $39.99.
  • $14.99 upgrade offer if you purchased a Windows 7 PC after June 02, 2012.
  • $69.99 for a boxed version of Windows 8 Pro. Just head over to the Microsoft Store or Amazon.
