Hike Messenger is yet another popular instant messaging client, which is available on all major platforms. Hike Messenger offers users with more privacy options, to prevent other users from seeing information such as the profile picture, last seen online, etc. Users can also create big groups of up to 100 persons to get in touch with their family and friends.
If you’re a regular user of Hike Messenger, the company is looking for beta testers to test the new Hike Messenger app for Windows 10 Mobile. The post mentions that it’s a completely revamped app for Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile, and comes with an array of new features and enhancements. The company also said a universal app which works on both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile will be available soon as well.
Hike said in a post on Reddit:
We are doing a soak test & looking for users input for making the app better and more useful to you. Our sole focus is on users needs and their choice so i would kindly request you to test the beta app & provide us your valuable feedback so we can improve the app. Also as this is a complete rewrite of the app(and soon will be ported to universal app) there might be some odd quirks plus not all features mentioned will be available just yet to everyone but we plan to update the app fairly regularly[read every 10 days or so] and keep adding more features & try implementing most requested features.
The upcoming Hike Messenger app for Windows 10 Mobile is also expected to get some interesting features including a completely revamped interface for Windows Phone, ability to create group chats of up to 500 people and more. Here’s the complete list of features which are expected to launch with the upcoming app:
- A complete makeover for Windows phone
- New Chat themes crafted with love to suit your feelings 🙂
- Share files upto a whopping 100MB in size![soon we will upgrade it to 1gb]
- Transfer files of all types including notes, photos, docs & pdfs !
- 500 member Group Chats with multi-admin facility for big fun[again 1000 members soon]
It seems the folks at Hike Messenger are taking Windows 10 Mobile seriously then most of the app developers out in the wild, which is a good thing. Just head over to Reddit and follow the instructions if you want to sign up as a beta tester.
