Hi, we’ve just upgraded our site

Hi everyone, you’re probably wondering why things look different on WinBeta. We just went live with our new backend (WordPress) and we’ve pushed out a new (although still somewhat similar) design. There are still plenty of bugs we need to iron out, so please have some patience with us over the course of the next few days.

For the past several years, we’ve been running the site on Drupal. Our site has evolved, as well as our content. Daily operations have become a pain in the butt due to Drupal’s limitations and our rapidly evolving needs. Now with WordPress, we can easily create the content we want, present it in a manner we like, and experience no compromises with performance.

Here’s what you can expect starting today. A bigger focus on features (tutorials, reviews, etc), a nicer presentation of content, and a faster site! We have some more goodies in the pipeline, so stay tuned!

We know there are numerous other news sites out there, so we thank you for choosing WinBeta as your source for Microsoft news. We are who we are thanks to our awesome community — so thank you!

Please share your bug reports in the comments below. Please be specific and provide a screenshot if you can. We’ll continue to fine tune the site over the next few days so please be patient with us and expect the site to be a tad bit slower than usual until things are back to normal.
