Bethesda’s surprise hit of 2023 Hi-Fi Rush has now been played by over 3 million people. The team posted on the game’s official Twitter account announcing the impressive feat and thanking all who had played the game.

Developed by Tango Gameworks—a studio better known for horror IPs like The Evil Within and Ghostwire Tokyo—the rhythm-action game proved an instant hit when it was unveiled during January’s Xbox Developer_Direct just hours before its release.

Despite being a major departure for Tango Gameworks and publisher Bethesda Game Studios, Hi-Fi Rush really caught on with Xbox gamers thanks to its fresh gameplay ideas and gorgeous cartoon visuals. The game won “Best Original IP” at this year’s Develop Conference, and we also shared our perspectives on the game in our High-Fi Rush roundtable impressions post. It also got a big update with new content and features back in July.

Hi-Fi Rush is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Windows. It is also a day one Xbox Game Pass release.
