Windows phones running Windows 10 Mobile received a small update today referred to as KB4316692.

Since Microsoft is winding down development on the Windows 10 Mobile platform, this update didn’t see the addition of any exciting new features. Instead it was more about fixing specific bugs and glitches, in this case one involving the incorrect saving of specific files.

Here’s the official, and very brief, release notes.

  • This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:
  • This build includes all the improvements from KB4284874.
  • Addresses a mobile-only issue in which Enterprise files could be saved as Personal files although the Windows Information Protection policy is enabled on the device.
  • If you installed earlier updates, only the new fixes contained in this package will be downloaded and installed on your device.

This update should install automatically however those who wish to download it ASAP can grab it via All settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking on Check for updates.
