Halo 5 Off To Strong Start In UK, Outsells Assassin’s Creed Syndicate By 50% – onmsft.com

It’s probably safe to say that Halo 5 sales are a tad important as Microsoft’s Xbox One console heads into this year’s holiday season. If the title blows up, then the Xbox One could make some headway against its arch-rival, the PS4. If sales are disappointing–well, that’s likely something that Microsoft would rather not consider.
And so, it’s good news (via gamesindustry.biz) that Halo 5 first-week sales, at least in the UK, are looking pretty good. Weighing in at 50% more than the closest competitor, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, as well 50% more than Master Chief Collection sold last year, Halo 5 is looking to have a successful run.
In other Microsoft news, Minecraft: Story Mode debuted at number five, also a strong showing. FIFA 16 and WWE 2K16 rounded out the top five.
If you have an Xbox One, now would be a good time to chip in and help the title gain some momentum. If you don’t have an Xbox One, well, you know what to do.
