The upcoming Closed Beta program for Guild Wars 2 has racked up over one million beta signups and the devlopers are very happy about it. A notice was sent out stating that the developers had surpassed the one millon signup mark and that the game is looking stronger than ever. Why so much interest in this game you ask? It has to do with the innovative gameplay mechanics and philosophies that’s set for the new game.

Good luck trying to get into the beta program though. “To clarify, this phase of testing is still under NDA and is not open to the public. Based on the feedback we get from our current Closed Beta Testing, we will determine the next phases of our beta program in which we will open beta access to more people,” the developer originally stated.

Guild Wars 2 adds several new features into the mix, such as combat roles, new enemies, and the latest graphics, as well as the same target based gameplay. The game is set for release later this year.
