Surface Back

Great news for Insiders who couldn’t install the Windows Insider Preview on the Surface 3. Microsoft has confirmed at the end of their latest blog post that build 10158 works on the Surface 3 and Surface Pro 3.

According to Microsoft, this build fixes an issue with the Surface 3 that prevented users of this device from upgrading. It also fixes issues on the Surface Pro 3 that drained the battery life.

As we previously wrote, the Windows Insider Preview build 10130 did not work on the Surface 3 due to a bug with it’s Intel Cherry Trail processor. This issue should be fixed in the new build, and Insiders should be safe to upgrade to this new build.

Stay tuned into WinBeta as we cover more information on build 10158.
