GOG summer sale well under way, with best day of deals yet

GOG

Compared to Steam, Good Old Games, the service run by Witcher-series auteurs CD Projekt, doesn’t receive a great deal of attention. Yet, with its biggest summer sale ever now well under way, there’s now more reason than ever to indulge in an impulse buy.

And with 650 games on offer, the selection is immense. Focusing on the games of yesteryear, as well as a few worthy newer titles (not least the Witcher series), the sale is something of a treasure-trove for retro-gaming enthusiasts (or for those, such as this author, whose PC has more in common with a toaster than a high-end gaming machine.)

Players of every taste are catered for, with discounts of up to 90%. Currently, the entire Walking Dead games series, the Wolf Among Us and the new Game of Thrones series are available at a significant discount. Those who spend $1 will receive a free copy of SimCity 2000, $20 and this becomes a free copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky, and $50 buys a free copy of Xenonauts. All games purchased are DRM-free.

You can find your way to the summer sale on GOG.com here.

Will you be taking part in the summer sale? Let us know in the comments below.
