Giveaway: Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5, comes with two malware detection methods

Its that time again, time for another short-review and giveaway! This time, we are proud to present to you Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5, which comes with two malware detection engines built into one software. We are giving away three licence codes to Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5, so read more for details on this great giveaway.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5 was released April 25th of 2012 and is a full-featured security suite that protects your system from malware, viruses, trojans, spyware, ad-ware, key-loggers, rootkits, and malicious bots. On top of that, there is real-time protection so your system is protected at all times from these types of attacks. Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5 features two scanners for malware detection, an anti-virus scanner and an anti-malware scanner. There are also three guards against new infections, such as a file guard, behavior blocker, and surf protection.

Installing Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6.5 is pretty straight forward. After installation, you will be presented with a configuration wizard that sets up various features, including the ability to join the company’s Anti-Malware Network, download new signatures, and perform an initial scan of your system. After installation and first scan, you are presented with the security status of your system. The navigation on the left side of the program is pretty neat and takes you where you need to go right away. Very straight forward and not confusing for first time users.

The software itself does not slow down your system and performed well on a Windows 7 64bit machine with pretty much no slow down. Scanning for malicious malware does not take long at all and the engine seems to pick up malware that other software such as Microsoft’s Security Essentials seems to miss. The bottom line? A great piece of software that keeps your system safe from numerous threats, well worth the price of $40 a year. Take a look at a quick video walk through of the software below:
