Microsoft’s Band 2 fitness tracker has been a popular purchase for the physically fit and organized. Although the Band 2 offers some significant differences over its successor, the original Band remains a viable option for the budget conscious. Today, you can get Microsoft’s first fitness tracker/smartwatch hybrid for only £49.99 at the Microsoft Store UK, with a free charging cable tossed into the deal.

What do you get along with your savings of £120? Well, here’s a refresher on the first iteration of the Microsoft Band:

  • Continuous heart rate monitor
  • Tracking for running, biking, golfing, and more
  • 10 sensors, including GPS, and UV monitor
  • Capacitive 1.4″ TFT display (320 x 106)
  • Works with Windows Phone, Android, and iPhone

You could put down more money on the Band 2, and get some additional features including a larger screen, a more comfortable fit, an extra sensor (barometer) for more accurate activity tracking, and an all-around improved design. But, the original Band was a pretty nice device as well, and at £49.99 makes a nifty device for the less fussy.

Go check it out if you’re in the UK and want a low-cost way to get into the fitness and organization craze. No word on how long the deal will last, and so you might want to head over to the Microsoft Store UK and get ordering.
