With Marvel’s The Defenders premiering on Netflix today, a special promotional campaign has begun for the highly-anticipated superhero mini-series on Microsoft’s Xbox One console.

The promotional campaign features a rather prominent banner for the series within the Entertainment tab on the Xbox One dashboard which, when clicked on, opens up an interactive menu full of Defenders content.

In addition to the expected links to each of the four preceding Marvel series, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, this themed dashboard also provides fans with an exclusive scene from the series featuring the long-awaited first encounter of Luke Cage (Power Man) and Danny Rand (the Iron Fist) as well as a rather emotional montage of the Marvel Netflix shows narrated by the legend, Stan Lee.

All of the Marvel Netflix series take place in the same canonical universe as the Marvel movies and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (referred to as the Marvel Cinematic Universe) but feature a darker vibe and tackle more complex, adult themes that some may find unsuitable for younger viewers. Daredevil explores religion, physical disability, and the nature of crime and violence, Jessica Jones revolves around a survivor of sexual abuse, Luke Cage focuses on black culture and identity politics in America, while Iron Fist deals with abusive father figures, bullying, abuse, and mental illness.

While Luke Cage and Jessica Jones met in the first season of Jessica Jones, The Defenders will be the first time all four street-level superheroes meet in person. The Defenders will be eight episodes long and should be going live any moment now on Netflix apps around the world.
